A reflection for today · AfricanBibles.com
Prayer is one of the most underestimated privileges in the life of a believer. We have direct access to the Creator of the universe — not through a priest, not through a ritual, not through an appointment system — but through the name of Jesus, at any hour, in any language, from any location. Many of us treat prayer as a last resort rather than a first response. We exhaust every human option before finally turning to God in desperation. But God invites us into a different kind of relationship — one in which conversation with Him is the first instinct, not the final option. African Christians have long understood the power of persistent, fervent prayer. The prayer meetings, the all-night vigils, the crying out to God — these are not expressions of desperation but of faith. Today, talk to God. Not just formally, but honestly. He can handle your raw emotions. He wants the real you.
Based on today's theme of Prayer — spend 2 minutes in prayer. Talk to God honestly about where you are today. Then listen. Share this devotional with someone who needs it.
